Nichols Heating & Cooling “Maintenance Agreement”

“ARE YOU OVERSPENDING ON YOUR UTLITIES?”

Our comprehensive semi-annual Maintenance Agreement (MA) is a standard practice highly recommended by all Heating and Cooling Equipment Manufacturers. Most manufacturers’ warranties and guarantees are invalid if equipment is not maintained annually.

 

Customer Benefits:

  1. Preferred Status: You will receive service priority. If and when you have the need of a Service Call, your name goes to the top of the list over the non-MA customers.
  2. 10% Discounts For Repairs:  A 10% discount will be applied to the “total invoice” for each service call provided to our MA customers. *This can even include any repairs needed today.*
  3. Year Supply of Free Air Filters: (Residential Applications) We will provide for you, and leave at your location, a year supply of properly sized disposable air filters. This ensures enough for six filter changes per year.
  4. Double Parts Warranty: (Residential Applications) We will double the parts warranty, provided by the part manufacturer, for any parts replaced by our service department.
  5. 5% Discounts for Equipment Replacements: As a valid MA Customer, you will receive a 5% discount, on “total invoice” for any equipment that you have us replace. From a simple a/c or furnace change out to a complete HVAC system. 
  6. Extends Equipment Life: According to all equipment manufacturers, your equipment will last much longer if maintained seasonally. Some suggest up to 50% longer. Approximately 80% of all equipment failures are due to lack of proper maintenance.
  7. Lowers Energy Consumption: Equipment not properly maintained will use more electricity and gas to operate. According to equipment manufacturers, efficiencies can drop as much as 60%.
  8. Safety: Each year many deaths are attributed to Carbon Monoxide. In many cases, a seasonal furnace inspection and check may have detected a CO problem with the heat exchanger. Also, freon has been determined by the government to deplete our earth’s ozone level.

Heating Season/Furnace: Clean and adjust automatic controls—Clean burners in place—Adjust combustion for maximum efficiency—Lubricate parts as needed—Test safety shut off response—Check blower belt for wear—Check blower alignment and adjust—Clean, level and check thermostat—Check and adjust gas pressures—Wash or replace filters—Check furnace for CO in supply air flow from furnace heat exchanger.

 

Heating Season/Heat Pump: Check defrost cycle controls—Check refrigerant controls and reversing valves—Test emergency back up heat strips-- Lubricate parts as needed— Check blower belt for wear—Check blower alignment and adjust—Clean, level and check thermostat— Wash or replace filters—Clean outdoor condenser coils if needed—Check electrical components for tightness—Inspect evaporator coil if easily accessible—Check refrigerant pressures/levels.

 

Cooling Season/Air Conditioner: Lubricate parts as needed— Check blower belt for wear—Check blower alignment and adjust—Clean, level and check thermostat— Wash or replace filters—Clean outdoor condenser coils if needed—Check electrical components for tightness—Inspect evaporator coil if easily accessible—Check refrigerant pressures/levels.


Basic Terms of This Agreement:

Maintenance Agreement is $220.00 per year billed each September, prior to service. All annual agreements run from date of paid contract thru August 31. Add $120.00 for each additional system at the same location. Extra charges may apply for any parts replaced, freon added or removed, humidifier consumables, air cleaner/purifier consumables, UV bulbs, fuel oil furnace consumables, etc., that we may use. Seasonal maintenance of heating equipment will be scheduled and performed during one of the following months: Sept., Oct., Nov. or Dec. Seasonal maintenance of cooling equipment will be scheduled and performed during one of the following months: April, May, June or July. All seasonal maintenance appointments are scheduled and performed during our normal business hours. Full benefits only apply if account is in “active” and “good” status at the discretion of Nichols Sheet Metal Heating and Cooling. All annual contracts are automatically renewed unless a written cancellation request is received at 2505 Wash. Blvd., Belpre, OH 45714.
